CARLA MURPHY has been involved in the childbirth community for over eleven years, inspired by her experiences with midwifery care during her first pregnancy. The opportunity to provide caring, compassionate and nonjudgmental support to women and their families - while still caring for her own family - and sharing the wonder and beauty of pregnancy and childbirth inspired her to start Trinity Doula Care. 

Carla is currently working towards certification as a labour doula, postpartum doula and HypnoBirthing Practitioner. In addition to her labour and postpartum doula training with CAPPA-Canada, she has taken courses in breastfeeding support, acupressure for doulas, HypnoBirthing Support Techniques for Doulas and adult education. 

Carla has three sons, ages 12, 9 and 7, two of whom were born in hospital and one at home. She's been married for 16 years and lives in the west end of Toronto.
